Eggcellent Nourishment, Sustainable Growth
We will provide every artisan with a nourishing boiled egg as a morning refreshment. These protein-packed eggs will not only invigorate our artisans but also contribute to their overall well-being, empowering them to create with passion and dedication.
Instead of discarding eggshells, These shells, once crushed, are transformed into nutrient-rich organic manure. This eco-friendly initiative not only reduces waste but also promotes responsible agriculture and helps protect our environment.
Embroidery Designs at
Kala Shakti
Embroidery is the embodiment of skill, imagination, and craftsmanship. It is an art-form which is practiced by hand which involves stitching or embellishing fabric with various types of thread, yarn, or other materials. With the needle and thread, the artisans at Kala Shakti Foundation create intricate designs, patterns, and motifs on fabric.
One of the emroidery designs created by artisans at our Champaran facility, is Petit Point. Petit point is a very delicate design, also known as tent stitch or needlepoint. It is derived from the term ‘petit point,’ which means ‘small point’ in French. This form of embroidery was popular in France in the 17th and early 18th centuries.
Petit point is a traditional needlework technique which is fine, precise, and is charaterized by its closely stitched patterns. It allows for perfect colour blending and is used for creating miniature designs and intricate patterns.

How We Work
At the Kala Shakti Foundation, we follow a rigorous process to set up facilities in a rural region of the country. We work closely with our on-ground team and also with some of the locals of the area, for our services to be symbiotic with the growth of the region.
Vetting The Rural Regions
One of the parameters is to ensure that our offerings are extended to regions where it’s needed the most. We only develop our facilities in areas where access to developed cities and towns is limited and there is a sheer lack of opportunities for women to grow.

Building The Facility
Once the location is finalised, we put a team together to build the space. All our facilities are equipped with toilets, which are kept clean throughout. There is also a constant supply and accessibility to safe drinking water, amongst other sanitation facilities.
Trust Building
As the facility gets ready, we work closely with some of the locals to better understand their needs and how we can best serve them, before initiating our recruiting process. This is a very crucial step as this allows trust to build amongst the villagers over time.
Onboarding and Orientation
We then allow walk-ins for women who are actively seeking work opportunities. The interested women are acquainted with the space and introduced to our trainers, who then proceed to explain the entire process to them. We have a reserve of videos and other hosts of explanatory visual media for onboarding and orientation.
Training
Women are trained for up to 2500 hours, before they become full-time employees, which also allow a massive increase in their compensation.
